Privacy Policy

ChiqLook lets you discover and clip clothing from across brands, then mix and match pieces to find the right look for you. Building a look uses a photo of you, so this policy is mostly about photographs of you — what we do with them, who else sees them, and how long we keep them.

ChiqLook is operated by PoseDraw Technologies Inc., a corporation based in Ontario, Canada ("PoseDraw", "we", "us"). The app is available in the United States and Canada only.

What we collect

Your account. You sign in with Google or Apple. We receive your email address, and your name and profile picture when the provider supplies them. We never see your password. If you use Apple's Hide My Email, we only ever hold the relay address.

Your photos. The photos you upload of yourself, and the looks generated from them. These are pictures of you, and we treat them as the most sensitive thing we hold.

Your closet. Clothing items you save, including images and details taken from the retailer's product page when you clip an item.

Usage and diagnostics. Which features you use and when, your device type and operating system, and crash reports. Crash reports can incidentally include technical details about what the app was doing when it failed.

What you tell us. Messages you send through the feedback form in Settings, and whatever you choose to write in them. These reach us attached to your account, so that we can look into what you are describing and come back to you about it.

We do not collect your contacts, your location, or your advertising identifier. ChiqLook does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and contains no advertising.

How we use it

Your photos are used to run automated safety checks and to generate outfit previews for you. We do not use them to train AI models, we do not sell them, and we do not publish them.

Account details identify you across sessions and devices. Closet data stores the clothes you have saved. Usage data tells us which features are worth building on; crash reports tell us what is broken. Feedback you send tells us the same thing in your own words, and we use it to fix and improve the app.

We may also use this information to prevent abuse, to enforce our Terms, and where the law requires it.

Your permission for AI photo processing

Before a new account can redeem an invite and enter ChiqLook, the invite-code screen explains that uploaded photos are sent to third-party AI providers for safety checks and outfit previews. You must actively check the separate agreement box to give us permission; it is not preselected.

You can withdraw that permission by deleting your account or by contacting us. Because these checks and previews are core to ChiqLook, withdrawing permission means we will stop processing new photos and you will no longer be able to use those features.

Who else sees it

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We use the following service providers, who may only process data on our instructions:

• Google and Apple — sign-in.
• OpenAI — automated safety checks, including whether an uploaded image is suitable as a person photo, and moderation of profile or avatar images.
• Google, Fal and Replicate — AI services that generate your outfit previews. Your photo is sent to whichever provider handles your request.
• Cloudflare — image storage and delivery.
• DigitalOcean — database hosting.
• ScrapFly — fetching retailer product pages when you clip an item. This sees the product link, not your photos.
• PostHog — usage analytics, and the feedback messages you send us through the app.
• Sentry — crash reporting.

We are based in Canada and these providers operate in the United States, so your information is stored and processed in both countries and is subject to the laws of those jurisdictions, including lawful access requests by their authorities. We may also disclose information if legally required, or to protect someone's safety or our rights.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account in the app: open Settings from your profile icon, then Delete account. No email to us is required.

When you do, your account is closed immediately. You are signed out everywhere, and if you signed in with Apple we revoke that connection so ChiqLook disappears from Sign in with Apple in your iPhone settings.

Deleting is permanent and cannot be undone. You can use the same email address to create a new account afterwards.

The photos you uploaded and the looks generated from them are erased — the stored files are overwritten, not hidden. We aim to complete this within 30 days of your request, and you can email us if you would like it done sooner.

How long we keep things

While your account is open, we keep your photos and closet for as long as you want them. You can delete individual photos and looks in the app at any time.

After you delete your account, your photos and the looks generated from them are erased as described above. What remains is a minimal record that the account existed: your email address, basic records of when the app was used, and any feedback you sent us. These are not anonymous — they stay associated with that address — and we keep them to understand overall usage. If you would like your feedback messages removed as well, email us and we will delete them.

Crash and usage records are kept for a limited period for debugging and product decisions. Records we are required to keep — for example to resolve a dispute or meet a legal obligation — are kept for as long as that requires.

Your rights

Wherever you are, you can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it. Email hello@posedraw.com and we will respond within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for asking.

Canada. You have the right to access and correct your personal information, and to withdraw consent. If we cannot resolve a complaint, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Residents of Quebec have additional rights under Law 25, including deletion and de-indexing.

California. You have the right to know what we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined, so there is nothing to opt out of.

Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit. Sign-in tokens are held in the device's secure keychain rather than ordinary app storage, and access to production systems is limited to people who need it. No service can promise perfect security, and we do not.

Children

ChiqLook is not for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16, and if we learn we have, we delete it. If you believe a child has given us their information, email us.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
